| | Medical Database Promotion | | MIDIRS Institutional Access (IA) is an internet-based solution for institutional maternity information needs. MIDIRS is a bibliographical database specifically targeted at midwives and health professionals involved in maternity and neonatal care. It contains over 100,000 bibliographical references. | | | Technology: Flash MX/8 | MTL specifically managed the entire MIDIRS IA project from database development to sales literature and promotion. The Flash demo was primarily designed as an off-line facility at conferences that could be used on a laptop connected to a plasma screen. The application includes four pre-recorded streamed clips of database searching with annotated explanations to points of interest. Each unique property of MIDIRS IA is shown in individual sections with commonly answered themes demonstrated through animated graphics. Each section can be accessed individually from the main menu allowing knowledgeable users to find information quickly. The whole demonstration will automatically start again, after a fixed period, to capture interest of passing users when exhibiting.
| | Please click on button to launch the MIDIRS IA application. Please note this demonstration is optimised for minimum screen size of 600 x 900. You will need the free Adobe Flash Player and the file size is 650 kb. |

| | Interactive CD to deliver PDF Documents | | The comprehensive MIDIRS Informed Choice leaflets examine key decisions facing expectant mothers during pregnancy and is designed to assist them in making informed choices. | | Client Information | | Informed Choice | | view web site |
| | Technology: Flash MX/8 | MTL developed a Flash-based application that would allow users to view 42 downloadable leaflets delivered to the end user on a CD-ROM. The application uses a strong brand splash page as well as music to make the experience more engaging.
The leaflets come in two versions for expectant mothers and health professionals and the application works well to allow each one to get to the relevant leaflets efficiently. Amongst the overall polished feel of this retail product there are some nice 3D rendered graphics and navigation techniques lengthening the longevity of its appeal. The small file size of the application means it can be delivered on smaller (and cheaper) business card CD-ROMs.
| | Please click on button to launch the Informed Choice application. Please note that the PDF facilities and music are subject to copyright and are disabled in this demonstration. You will need the free Adobe Flash Player and the file size is 700 kb. |
